Greek Alchemist is a European luxury soap house founded in London & Athens in 2022 by Tsakalides family - a medical & pharmacist in its origin family - , with an ambition to translate memories and emotions into soaps and experiences.

Greek alchemist deconstructs traditional beauty formulations into plant-based raw ingredients, each suited for a specific need and concern –different skin types, different seasons– offering our community more than a soap experience: a lifestyle to pursue. We use nature's ingredients &  try to transform them as little as possible. Organic, vegan and cruelty-free. We are advocates for traceability, working with partners who responsibly source and manufacture our ingredients.

How it all started

Greek Alchemist Founder Faye Tsakalides was preparing for a party when she had her third panic attack. It was just after the Covid lockdowns and she decided to take her future in her hands. Traditional medical prescriptions & therapies didn’t seem to work much, only offering short term soothing solutions to a long term chronic problem & agony. And it was at that time, that she discovered the power of aromatherapeutic soaps, through the use of essential oils & raw ingredients. The grounding effects of the aromas, proved an almost immediate and natural relief to the on going anxiety. Testing different aromas - through premium blends of essential oils proved an excellent mood booster, a stress reliever and a real helper on her concentration levels. Started incorporating then these essential oil blends into premium raw materials, organic goat milk, organic donkey milk, a unique combination of 100% pure aloe vera with cucumber and carrot, 100% honey and argan extracts, gave birth to the first batch of organic, premium and raw soap bars. From that point till now, new sculptural-form soaps where added - minimalistic, pop, for baby’s and children, new formulas for detox or extra hydratation, being spread into prestigious pharmacies, wellness retreat centers, spas, hotels, concept & wellness stores. From that moment, it has been an ongoing journey for her. Having as denominator the real human being to make him reach his potentials and biggest dreams. Boost his creativity and mood levels. Raise its serotonin, make him sleep better and feel better. Less anxiety, a better more complete and full life

The Process

1. conception

The soaps are invented, drawn and conceived in our laboratory in London. The shapes are drawn, then 3D printed, from which we make our moulds. We use two manufacturing technics: the mold technic and the hand-cutting technic.

2. sourcing

From nature to nature, from Greek Alchemist to your skin. We only use nature’s ingredients and try to transform them as little as possible. Whenever possible, we prioritize local producers as a way to reduce our carbon footprint. The country of origin of our raw ingredients varies depending on the type of plant. We are committed to sourcing most of our ingredients in Europe, close to home (Hemp comes from France, Hazelnut from Italy, our clays from Spain) but sometimes we can only source ingredients in the country where the plant is native (Ghassoul is only available in Morocco, Dead Sea Mud in the Dead Sea). Our motto is raw, organic, vegan and sustainable sourced

The soul of a soap comes from the intention with which it is created and the attention with which it is prepared. The essentials oils must create a shock - the shock of the new, combined with the shock of the intimately familiar. We believe in the soulful power of thoughtful hands: hand-poured soaps, hand-formulated blends of essential oils. We believe in the passionate souls who work close to us.
